Being items from the british museum the collection is sumptuous and well illustrated, all in colour. Nearly all the plates face a page of explanatory text, which to my mind is the perfect format. After going through the book and oglin|About the Author|Aileen Dawson is the curator responsible for the British Museum's collection of post-Renaissance European ceramics and glass.
